Mutatio an der Via Egnatia, nördl. von Abdera, wohl am Fluss Kossinites (s. Oberhummer, RE 1481), genaue Lage unbekannt.

BAtlas 51 unlocated schlägt die Gegend von Xanthe vor.
Pantos 1978 lokalisiert es versuchsweise in der Region des Dorfes Kimmeria (ca. 4 km östl. von Xanthe; s. TIR 23).

Zahlreiche Funde in der Gegend von Xanthi (s. Kallintzi 2012a und b; Kallinitzi et al. 2011 und 2016): z. B. Mithrasrelief aus dem 2./3. Jh. n. Chr. (dazu Triandaphyllos 1998).
