Commentary on the Toponym:	Kommentar (Talbert): -> Stretch to Simitta The route proceeds ´vertically´, with such a short stretch for Vicvs that its distance figure (XXX) occupies most of the next (Simitta) stretch. The two chicanes drawn in rapid succession under Vicvs are curious; in any case, placement of the name and distance figure on quite different levels makes it all the harder to draw the route linework satisfactorily. Miller, Itineraria, Sp. 776: Vicus, Bicum (Ra — in Verbindung mit Thiar und Barna). [Manche nehmen Vicus zu Thiar, lesen also Thiarvicus, was der Angabe der Ta widerspricht, ohne die Schwierigkeiten zu lösen]; j. etwa bei Dadik. Abzweigung nach Batnis, Strecke 110.
