Commentary on the Toponym:

Miller, Itineraria, Sp. 826:
Ocurura; j. Kara.
Dazwischen vielleicht Calamonia; j. Nebk.
15.

Kommentar (RE):
Otthara, Kastell am Limes des Dux Foenicis (Not. dign. or. XXXII 3. 18), Standort der Equites Mauri Illyriciani. Es ist vielleicht das Ἀτήρα des Ptolemaios (Geogr. V 14, 19; cod. X Ἀτηΐα). Dussaud (Topographie hist. de la Syrie [Paris 1927] 268; Syria 1929, 59) hält es für das jetzige Ghunṭur. [Ernst Honigmann. ]

Datierung (Barrington):
Otthara - Late Antique (NotDig Or. 32.18; Dussaud 1927, 268)
§ Otthura - Late Antique
§ Ocurura - Late Antique
§ Atera - Roman Antique (Ptol. 5.14.19)
