Commentary on the Toponym:	Miller, Itineraria, Sp. 816: Cehere; cf. Koara und Goaria (Pt); j. Kara. 20. Kommentar (RE): Cehere (Tab. Peut), Station an der Strasse von Damascus nach Palmyra zwischen Casama und Nezala gelegen. Möglicherweise (so Moritz Abh. Akad. Berl. 1889, 22) ist die Namensform verdorben und der Ort identisch mit Goaria des Ptolemaios (s. d.), welches der Lage auch dem heutigen Ḳârâ entspricht.
