An extra chicane is introduced to accommodate the first word (Mediolano) of the name to the left of the symbol; so this is not an instance of "one stretch drawn as two". Placement of the entire two-word name is a challenge to the mapmaker (see further the note under that entry). The copyist might possibly have done better to start the extra chicane sooner, and bring it under the word Mediolano to the symbol.

Lamnū., Tamnum (It); j. Tallemont. 22, 16 (It). Bei St. Ciers wurde ein Meilenstein gefunden mit Entfernung 27 (von Mediolano? oder vielleicht von Burdigala). I: 8898.
